Muckross Transition Year 2007 are learning the basics of Web Design by working on their own web projects. This is being done under the ECDL Webstarter Course and gives them the basic tools for building their own wsites.

How's our progress?

This is my website on The Paddocks so far. It is taking longer than i expected because i have to make so many links to new pages when one page gets cluttered.
Rebecca kelly here. My website is about rating the three things most important to the survival of humanity - games, music, comedy. I have the basic pages up, but not too much content on YET! I'm currently working on the games section which is moving along swimmingly, or should i say typingly.
The project isn't going very well, as I missed the last class and am kind of behind on what we should be doing. I'm still working on the Muckross TY site with both Sorcha and Emma we are working very slowly and it seems like we have no goals to reach or tasks to complete. Emma is not in school today as she is still in America and because people in the group (including myself) keep missing classes it is difficult to co-ordinate and organise ideas. The task is looking to be more difficult than we thought it would be at the start of the module.
I am doing my project with Aoife and Emma, it is about Transition Year in Muckross and has different pages for different events meant to be happening throughout the year. So far progress has been very slow as we have run into a few obstacles and at the moment we are struggling to get anywhere as it seems we have run out of inspiration and ideas. The concept which we thought was filled with substance at the start we are finding doesnt actually contain much substance making it even more difficult to produce a website out of it. As part of one of my tasks I am meant to put together a page for photos but it appears that very few classmates have supported me in this and have not answered my request for photos, also I am finding it hard to upload the photos that I do have onto the website.
We have made progress over mid-term.We have published our pages to the web and have linked all the pages back to the main page.We have started writing out the topics for our internet magazine called Sesamie.Presently we are working on the content of each page and how it will look on the internet.We have completed the home page and are continuing to work on each of the separate topics.Here is a link to our home page which has a link to each of the other topics.As i am the project manager i have the link to the home page.

This is my website and its not going too quickly because google page creator dosen't always work on safari and you can't put in images and stuff.

The homepage was completed by all of us. on it is a general intro to monkeys.
Emer has completed 'endangered species'.
Right now Sinéad is writing about ' Facts On Monkeys'. She is having a problem with her computer which is slower her down.
I have finished the page on 'famous monkeys' and i am just starting a page on different species of monkeys.
